“The Big Bang Theory” was the most-watched program Thursday nationally and locally. The oblivious Sheldon (played by Emmy-winner Jim Parsons) pulled in 19 million viewers, according to preliminary ratings released Friday morning.





With that impressive showing, “Big Bang” bolstered CBS to big victories in total viewers and the 18-to-49 age group. The Big Bang Theory swept its time period, finishing first in households (11.2/17), viewers (18.98m), adults 25-54 (7.7/19), adults 18-49 (6.0/17) and adults 18-34 (4.0/13). The Big Bang Theory posted series highs in households, viewers and adults 25-54 and matched its series high in adults 18-49.
